KOMO TV, ABC 4 & RADIO 1000, SEATTLE - A former Seattle resident was arrested Tuesday in connection to a fire that started outside the Seattle Police's East Precinct during the Capitol Hill Occupied Protest, known as "CHOP." Authorities said Isaiah Thomas Willoughby, 35, faces arson charges for his alleged role in the incident. "This is the third case we have charged federally for the criminal acts that tainted otherwise peaceful protests," said U.S. Attorney Brian T. Moran. "Other crimes remain under investigation and may result in additional federal charges. Those who worked to turn protests into riots will not escape accountability for their criminal conduct." A criminal complaint said a person in distinctive clothing was captured on surveillance video June 12 near debris piled next to the wall of the East Precinct. For more on this story, click here.
