KOMO TV, ABC 4 & RADIO 1000, SEATTLE - A fire that burned a former funeral home in White Center has been deemed arson, fire investigators said Tuesday. The 2-alarm fire broke out at 4:30 a.m. last Wednesday in the 10700 block of 16th Ave SW, according to Puget Sound Fire firefighters. The stubborn flames needed firefighters from three districts to finally get it out. No one was injured. Officials told KOMO News the funeral home moved out of the building a couple months ago and it had been vacant since. Investigators said they've determined the fire to have been intentionally set, according to Sgt. Ryan Abbott with the King County Sheriff's Office, but the exact cause of the fire has not been released. Click here for supporting photos.
