KOMO - NEWS, SEATTLE, WA - Snohomish County investigators believe arson could have been the cause in a late Monday night fire that destroyed two Bothell homes. A person saw smoke coming from the 3500 block of 226th Place SE in Bothell around 9 p.m. and called for help, according to the Snohomish County Fire District 7. Firefighters arrived find flames coming from two homes under construction. Firefighters fought the flames as a defensive fire, deeming both homes a total loss. There were no injures in the fire, the spokesperson said. Investigators said there were broken-out windows in the model home next door to these two homes that were burnt.The Snohomish County Fire Marshal's office and Snohomish County Sheriff's Office said the cause of the fire could be arson. The spokesperson said the homes were at the stick and frame stage of development.
